Sorceress, one protocol to decentralize all

To overcome the shortcomings in the Polkadot ecology, Russian Polkadot community’s developers developed Sorceress Protocol which use machine and block verification method which is a non-manual method and is governed by DAO community to constantly improve the security and performance of Polkadot ecology. Sorceress is the first third party protocol which will serve the Polkadot ecology and will run side by side with Polkadot to take part in slot auctions. Sorceress has its own products such as SorFarm, Sorceress Governance, Sorceress Browser, User Interaction Terminal etc. All these products contribute to the performance of Polkadot and will help in improving the performance of Polkadot ecology.

Sorceress Background

As Polkadot already uses different other protocols but none of them was anywhere near to what Sorceress can do. The motivation behind Sorceress was to fix the cross-chain issues, decentralization and the addition of machine and block verification as the other solutions was more focused on value transfer between chains. So, Sorceress is based on on-chain, off-chain and cross-chain architecture which will eventually support the smart contracts. Behind Sorceress, there is a team of very talented people who have worked hard into making this protocol a very good one and market competitive.

The development team behind Sorceress identified different shortcomings in other DeFi projects out there and the existing solutions which are unable to solve certain problems for the people using their platforms. High gas fees on transactions, long durations and wait times in transaction processing as all these tasks were being performed on a single chain and eventually the end user had to go through all these problems. Sorceress is developed in such a way that it can overcome such challenges with the use of multi-chain and cross-chain method, the longer durations in transactions will be minimized hence cutting down the gas fees to almost none as there is not load or pressure on the network and all transactions are being handled smoothly with the help of multi-chain system.

Sorceress Eco-Products

As we have discussed above, the Sorceress platform itself has a set of products which are supported on its platform and contributes to the performance and different features of Sorceress protocol. We shall discuss each product along with their unique features.

Sorceress Governance

It is a decentralized voting platform which means that each stakeholder will be able to submit a voting proposal which will be first reviewed by the Super Node and once the review is complete, the mainnet will be released for voting by each stakeholder. The idea is to govern the proposals, so they are all well managed and reviewed thoroughly.

Sorswap

Sorswap is a decentralized exchange, unlike other exchanges which have the capability to only perform single chain transactions such as Uniswap etc. Sorswap can perform multiple transaction at a time which we can also call multi-chain and cross-chain barrier free transactions. Of course, it will be needed to be passed from the Sorceress Governance first which should not be a problem. As we know, many exchanges which can perform one transaction at a time are very slow and sometimes the people who are looking to buy or sell something get annoyed by the fact that they lose the window of opportunity because of the slow transaction processing, and this is exactly what Sorswap aims to solve.

Future Plans

Sorceress is aimed to become a complete decentralized project by the second quarter of 2022. As of now, the Sorceress team aims to release the beta version of Sorceress to the public for testing which will essentially test the Tron Shasta network and help in evaluating its performance. By the end of 2021, it is aimed to make the Sorceress Eco-products online and make the Sorceress protocol online which will be opened.

It is being aimed that by the second quarter of 2022, Sorceress Mainnet, Sorceress test and public chain tool will be online and after that, Polkadot parachain intervention can be done along with its ecology integration so it can provide its full potential. Further development will go on as new requirements come through.
